Omar Guevara is a Participant Education Associate at Advus, who is dedicated to helping individuals better understand their retirement benefits and make informed decisions about their financial future. He holds his Series 7 and Series 66 licenses and is known for his ability to simplify complex financial concepts into practical, easy-to-understand guidance. Omar is passionate about educating participants so they can feel confident navigating their plans and taking meaningful steps toward long-term financial security.
Omar’s perspective is shaped by experience across several respected financial institutions. Prior to joining Advus, he served as a Retirement Plan Specialist at MissionSquare Retirement, a Workplace Planning Consultant at Fidelity Investments, and a Relationship Manager at Bank of America. These roles gave him a well-rounded understanding of retirement plans, participant needs, and the different approaches organizations take to supporting employees’ financial wellness.
A strong communicator with a natural ability to connect with people, Omar has delivered educational presentations to audiences ranging from small one-on-one meetings to groups of more than 1,000 participants. He focuses on creating an approachable environment where individuals feel comfortable asking questions, learning the details of their benefits, and gaining clarity about their financial decisions.
Based in Fort Worth, Texas, Omar enjoys staying active, traveling, and following sports, especially cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. Much of his time outside of work is spent with his three sons, Jeremiah, Ezra, and Aiden, whose schedules are often filled with sports and school activities. He and his family also enjoy volunteering together through their church and community.
